Emotional agility vol 1,2,3

This is where my heart is. This is where I get the energy from. This is what I would like you to become passionate about. Whether you are a team member, a team leader, a director or a businessperson managing the work/life reality of endless emails, three kids, and a cat, I encourage you to take a look at what I consider an absolute essential in human flourishing – emotional agility. This is a series of three 2-hour workshops aimed at equipping you with the knowledge and tools to become an emotionally agile person… and it’s not only about emotions:)

Emotions can be our ally and support. They can be thought of as motion, the movement of energy in a specific direction. If accepted and understood, they can significantly increase our quality of life. However, when they are misinterpreted, they wreak havoc and confusion. When ignored, suppressed, or rejected, they grow in strength and can explode at any moment.

  • Is it about hierarchy or holarchy?
  • What is emotional intelligence?
  • Is it possible to predict when and where we are likely to burst into anger?
  • What are the gifts of emotions?
  • When are we likely to experience an emotional leakage?
  • What are the dangers of being an extreme optimist?
  • Will you be with me when things go…?
  • What is the strongest emotion?
  • How can myths contribute to our emotional agility?
  • Who made this atmosphere?
  • How to transform the emotional agility into habitual reality?

These questions and many more will be answered in these workshops on Emotional Agility.

Resilience skills in times of uncertainty.

“Could it be our new reality?” He asked.

“What are you saying? By no means can it be the new reality. The reality, which is not stable, full of volatile events, which can surprise, bring you down and leave you barely alive – No! It’s definitely not the world I’m functioning in. If, by any chance, it turns out to be our new reality, then Tom is one of the few to deal successfully with it. He inherited this so-called resilience from his ancestors. One cannot learn it; one can only get it in genes and that’s it. There is no other option.”

Join this workshop and see for yourself if it’s about genes and ancestors.

During this session we will cover the following aspects:

  • How to deal with past events? The role of the past in the future
  • How to understand resilience? Working with assets and deficits
  • Optimism: realistic vs unrealistic
  • When is the time for being a pessimist?
  • Explanatory styles
  • Real-time resilience – dealing with thinking traps

Professional burnout: a permanent resident.

“Hi! My name is Burnout. Professional Burnout. I’ve graduated from various workshops on the psychology of adult human beings, so I know what to look for. It’s not so easy to invite me into your, life but once I know that you want me for company it will be a challenge to get rid of me. I usually sit quietly somewhere in the conference room. Sometimes I perch on your desk. I taste the atmosphere, put you to the test and carefully examine your scores. Maybe I will follow you home or keep you company at the dinner table. Once I’m sure that I’ve got my foot in the door and nothing is likely to change then I move in for good. Trust me, you don’t want me to live with you, but what can I say if you keep inviting me?

Professional burnout: it’s not just a topic in old psychological textbooks. It’s a social problem that emerges due to specific actions and working conditions and is present in almost all professions.

This workshop aims to help participants understand the causes and effects of professional burnout. It focuses on various techniques that can be implemented at any time to minimize the risk of burnout from entering your life.

How to work and win with limiting beliefs.

He dreamed, created plans, he knew the SWOT structure, attended motivation workshops. However, he didn’t notice that every single year was just like the last. Moreover, each year ended with a sense of failure and emptiness. And no wonder, as how can you get anywhere in a world in which “only the rich get richer”, “there are no friends in business”, “Harvard makes you somebody and the rest are forgotten”, “all men are bastards” and the sporty silhouette is an effect of Photoshop and a talented photographer?

The art of savoring.

“Good coffee, but if it were in a different setting, it would be better.”

Savoring doesn’t sound like something worth learning. After all, everyone knows how to savor the moment, reminisce about the good times, and look forward to what’s coming with a smile. However, reality often tells a different story. We often pay more attention to what isn’t working, to sad memories, and we look to the future with fear of jinxing it. Sometimes, we’re even frugal in this process because it’s the expected thing to do.

Science clearly shows that savoring is a skill worth investing in. It strengthens resilience, reduces stress, improves communication, and fosters the construction of deeper relationships.”

  • What is savoring?
  • How to attend and enhance positive experiences?
  • How to anticipate with hope?
  • How to reminisce in a positive way?
  • How to recognize and avoid experience dampening strategies?
